Comet dust probe and aerogel

Was just reading about the space capsule which completed a 2.9 billion mile journey. It was sent to collect space dust from a comet.

I was reading the article when I read about aerogel which is made from silica and 96% air. It has great insulation properties, a 1 inch thickness window made out of this stuff has the same value as 15 panes of glass and trapped air! - Incredible
